Online log of the week – Deer Crossing Letterbox
May 5, 2008 by Lone R
Deer Crossing Letterbox
Second time lucky …. particularly without the snow! At least I had been in the right spot, but back then things were kinda “frozen in place”….
Our timing could not have been more perfect … all quiet just in the mid-evening, and as we crested the hill there were 4 white-tails staring as us from the path right beside the cache, and 2 more in the woods. They quickly tired of the beagle and casually sauntered deeper into the woods. We followed and watched them across a clearing as they melded into the woods, and a few minutes later two more appeared on the other side of the clearing. After leaving the cache, we also came across a porcupine (very fluffy and bristly) and a young rabbit.
Fabulous theme for the cache. Thanks!!!!!!!
