I was out checking on one of my hides. I walked to the tree by the creek with Thunder Paw’s leash attached to a loop on my belt (I like to be hands free). I reached into the hidey hole and suddenly there was a kerfuffle of honking and feathers. A Canada Goose buzzed between me and my dog, grazing us both. My dog pulled so hard to get away that the carabiner snapped off my belt loop. Left a hole in my pants. The goose landed in the creek and started swearing up a storm. Still, despite the torn pants, it was a cool experience. Well maybe not so much for Thunder Paws.
